The Lighting Industry Association (the LIA) is pleased to announce it will officially launch the Lighting Industry Academy on September 28 - just six months after the inauguration of extensive 12,500 square foot laboratory facilities.

The Lighting Academy

The Lighting Industry Academy, funded in part by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund was developed in response to the real and pressing need within the industry to provide a central, coherent training and career path for lighting industry professionals and trades people.

The Academy, brings together providers, manufactures, academic institutions and other leading organisations. Through this collaborative model, the Academy can bring skills and learning to the whole lighting community and create the opportunity to work together towards a bright and exciting future.

September 28th will be the first chance to explore and experience the new Academy home and to join us for a seminar event being held on the subjective topic of ‘Brexit and its impact on the UK lighting industry’, presented by key players from industry and academia.

To join us in celebrating this unique and inspirational space, please reserve your place via the the LIA website at www.thelia.org.uk.
