Top Australian HR Tech Award for ISS

Company News, APAC
ISS has been named winner in the 'Best Use of Technology’ category at the 2017 Australian HR Awards for its development and implementation of the MyISS self-service app.

ISS has been named winner in the 'Best Use of Technology’ category at the 2017 Australian HR Awards for its development and implementation of the MyISS self-service app which make working lives easier by providing access to information about pay, rosters, company news, and much more.

The award acknowledges ISS’ leadership in the design and delivery of effective HR technology and practices; and in creating a better workplace experience for 12,000 employees across Australia and New Zealand.
The platform allows staff to access pay information, apply for leave, view rosters, edit their personal details with ISS and access company news – all in real time on one easy-to-use app and mobile-friendly website.

ISS has seen clear efficiency benefits since the introduction of MyISS, with a significant reduction in printing, scanning and e-mailing forms. The company has also received very positive feedback from staff: In a survey of frontline team members across two states, 94% of respondents agreed that MyISS has made things easier for them, and 86% agreed that MyISS makes ISS a better employer.

Scott Erwin, ISS Australia’s Director of People & Culture, said:
“ISS is thrilled to be acknowledged by the Australian HR Awards for our unique and innovative MyISS app.  At ISS, people are our most important asset, and I am proud to be part of a company that is leading the industry with innovations and practices that enhance the management and engagement of our people. This award cements ISS’ position as an employer of choice in the Pacific.”

MyISS is currently being rolled out across the whole of the ISS Pacific organisation, which employs around 12,000 people in Australia and New Zealand. So far, the app has been released to over 4,600 employees and more than 140,000 logins recorded, demonstrating the rapid take-up of this new technology since its launch late 2016.
