Showcasing their Latest (26-28 March, Dubai)

Company News
Caterpillar and their exclusive dealer in the Gulf region Al-Bahar, will be exhibiting heavy equipment for a variety of applications from the biggest stand at next year's The Big 5 Heavy - the Middle East's largest exhibition for infrastructure and heavy construction which is organised by FM Industry/FM Magazine event partner, dmg events.

Explaining the decision to support the event after an absence of many years, an Al-Bahar spokesperson said: We are seeing a revamp in new infrastructure projects and large-scale developments in the region supported by the local Governments as they pursue economic diversification goals.

Rapid population growth, international events like Expo 2020, and investments in a variety of sectors, including hospitality and mining, are boosting heavy equipment’s sales in the GCC, so we feel this is the right time for us to reinforce our leadership in the market. Our presence at the Big 5 Heavy will strengthen our customer relationships and provide an excellent platform to showcase our capabilities, as well as Caterpillar’s latest and most innovative solutions for the local market.”

Cat®, the global leader in construction machinery will be displaying heavy equipment for a wide variety of applications, including earthmoving, building construction, mining, road making, demolition, waste and scrap handling.

Richard Pavitt, Event Director for The Big 5 Heavy, commented: “Caterpillar & Al-Bahar’s choice to come back to the exhibition demonstrates that there’s a growing potential for the heavy construction industry in the region. It also confirms that the decision to re-launch Middle East Concrete and PMV Live, once co-located to the Big 5, as a new, independent and international large-scale exhibition dedicated to the heavy construction, was the best to support the industry and effectively meet its needs.”

Organized by dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa, The Big 5 Heavy 2018 will feature five dedicated product sectors: Middle East Concrete, PMV Live, Foundations & Geotechnical, Mining & Quarrying, and Road Construction. The event will also offer a broad educational agenda with CPD-Certified Talks, a Live Demo Area, the brand new Innovation Trail, the Scaffolding Climbing Challenge, the Inspiring Infrastructure Award and The Big 5 Heavy Product Award.
