The company installed its innovative Uretech water management system and Ureco urinal sleeve in customer washrooms over a three-year period which ended following the final installation at Pizza Hut in The White Rose shopping centre in Leeds.
Uretech and Ureco lead their market by using patented technology to improve the washroom environment.
Ureco works by trapping urinal odours below the surface and reducing blockages by means of a patented enzyme system that breaks down fat, acid and salt in urine. Uretech then takes over by reducing urinal flushes from around 96 times to four times a day to achieve water savings of up to 96 per cent.
HSG UK Managing Director Simon Rice, says: “Our installation and servicing teams have been working at Pizza Hut restaurants from Scotland to South West Engand and have now completed the contract within budget.
“It is well-known that customers often judge the cleanliness of a restaurant's kitchens by the state of its washrooms.
“So besides consumption and cleaning product-related savings, it is fair to say our proven and patented technology is ensuring customers get a good first impression of premises and that further endorses the Pizza Hut brand as well as contributing to customer satisfaction, loyalty, and return spend.”
Pizza Hut Restaurants Energy Manager, Alex Wells, adds: “We expect the system to save us in excess of £125,000 a year in water bills across our restaurants.
“HSG have gone the extra mile to complete this contract and have given us truly excellent customer service across the UK.
“The urinal system is working extremely well in terms of reducing issues with blockages and odour. In fact, following the initial phase, a number of area managers requested it because it has been so effective in improving the washroom experience for customers.”
