ISS Wins Major Australian Schools Contract29 May 2018 / by ISS Facility Services (author) / Copenhagen
The company will provide cleaning services to 214 public schools with more than 500 cleaning professionals directly employed by ISS, to ensure consistency and compliance across all sites.
Commenting, Commercial Director for ISS Australia Stuart Rose, said:
“We are proud to add this account to our growing Australian education portfolio, and we look forward to establishing an open, collaborative relationship with the Victorian State Government. It is our self-delivery model that makes this kind of partnership possible. By empowering and training our own people, we can ensure that ISS delivers the best service to the end users of our customers – in this case the students and teaching staff at these Victorian public schools.”
ISS was selected for its track record in public education, its ethical employment practices, and its self-delivery model.
ISS Australia provides cleaning and other facility management services to a growing portfolio in the education segment, including more than 12 major universities, 56 technical and further education institutions, and now over 1,100 schools.
The new contract covers two of the eight Melbourne regions that the Department of Education & Training tendered as part of its ‘School Cleaning Reform Project’, a new zone-based approach for school cleaning that is being introduced by the Victorian State Government in 2018. This model brings in outsourced cleaning service providers to deliver consistent and quality cleaning standards to Victorian schools.
Under a phased transition period, ISS will begin service delivery at most of the schools in the portfolio on 1 July 2018.
