STRABAG Wins ORSAY German Retail Contract

Facilities Management, Contract Awards, EMEA, Retail
STRABAG PFS is expanding its retail facilities management (FM) business with the addition of 200 ORSAY GmbH outlets in Germany.

The property and industrial services company will provide technical FM support under an agreement which comes into effect on 1 August 2018 and ends on 31 December 2021 (and includes options to extend the contract by up to 12 months on two, separate occasions).

The start-up phase has already begun successfully. This was preceded by a nationwide call for bids. Both parties have agreed to not disclose the volume of the contract.

The stores are located in city centres or large shopping centres. Their rental/usable areas vary between 37 and 652 m2. The scope of services includes the maintenance, testing and repair of all technical facilities (e.g. air doors, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, smoke/heat extraction systems, merchandise surveillance systems). In addition, glass and façade cleaning will be performed at some stores.

STRABAG PFS is present throughout Germany. Its chain store business forms part of its growth strategy and is to be expanded further. Current retail clients, include O2 shops, Vodafone shops, Telekom shops and Commerzbank branches.
