Iqarus Strengthens Global Leadership Team

Iqarus today announced the appointment of Martin Rudd as managing director, Global Health Services.


Rudd will lead the Global Health Services (GHS) division, delivering preventative and remote health services in complex and demanding environments for governments, supra-nationals, NGOs and multinationals.


He takes over from Neil Gadd, acting managing director, GHS, who was seconded to Iqarus from International SOS as part of a strategic alliance formed in June 2017.


Rudd joins Iqarus from Constellis, where he was chief executive officer of the Commercial Division and responsible for the global delivery of the company’s commercial services and the integration of international commercial businesses across the group. Prior to 2015, Rudd was managing director of Olive Group, where he grew the business both organically and by acquisition, until its merger with Constellis in 2015.


He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Imperial College London, a master’s degree in military studies, technology and procurement from Cranfield University, and a master’s degree in defence and international studies from Kings College London. Rudd is a graduate of the UK’s Advanced Command and Staff College and has attended Harvard Business School’s Board Management programme.  He is a guest lecturer at Imperial and Tuck business schools.   


His early career in the British Army saw him serve in a wide variety of staff and operational appointments, including logistics, procurement, bomb disposal and Special Forces.


Rudd will report directly to Iqarus’s CEO, Tim Mitchell, and will be based in the company’s global headquarters in Dubai from 23 July 2018. He will also serve as a member of the company’s executive committee.
