Replacing Coal with Turmeric

GSH Group has won the Environment category at this year’s Energy Institute Awards for its work with Indian FMCG firm Kaleesuwari which has switched from using coal to generate steam for use in refineries, to biomass products including turmeric, sawdust and, more recently, chilli.

Scottish cleantech company Nova Innovation announces the integration of its tidal energy array with Tesla battery storage. The Tesla Powerpack was successfully integrated with Nova’s existing tidal array, delivering the world’s first grid-connected ‘baseload’ tidal power station.
