Mitie and Arun District Council Partnership Tackles Fuel Poverty

Arun District Council is working with Mitie to deliver a new innovative fuel-switch programme, ‘Switched On’, to residents across the District. Developed by Mitie’s Property Management business, part of Mitie Engineering, the programme will provide new central gas heating systems for up to 400 homes.

Veolia to Deliver First Carbon Energy Fund Ireland Contract

Veolia, working through its specialist energy performance team, has been awarded the first Carbon Energy Fund Ireland, CEFI, contract for a hospital in Ireland. The 15 year Energy Infrastructure Project Agreement for Dublin’s Mater Misericordiae University Hospital will reduce the hospital’s carbon footprint by approximately 81,000 tonnes, cut imported electricity from the national grid by 77 per cent, and deliver €26 million in guaranteed energy and operational savings.

RoSPA Order of Distinction

Veolia Water Technologies (Veolia) has once again had its approach to health and safety recognised in an awards scheme run by the safety charity, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). Veolia has achieved an Order of Distinction (15 consecutive Golds) in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. They will be presented with the award during a ceremony at Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.
