Major Expansion of Al Ain Mall

Abu Dhabi-based master developer Aldar Properties has added 33,000 sq metres of gross leasable area (GLA) to the Al Jimi Mall in the neighbouring Emirate of Al Ain.


The shopping centre provides a range of retail and leisure options including Al Ain's first outdoor retail park, fashion and furniture outlets, food and beverage courts, and the Emirate's first eight-screen Vox Cinemas which offering cinema goers the dine-in, Theatre by Rhodes, experience.

A ceremony to mark the opening of the extension was attended by Aldar CEO, Talal Al Dhiyebi, and Sheikh Hazza bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, representing Abu Dhabi ruler (and UAE President), Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Also present at the opening was Jassem Saleh Busaibe, CFA who serves as Chief Investment Officer of Aldar Properties and said:

"Given Al Ain’s significant population and vibrant business landscape, the city has become a key expansion market for Aldar’s diverse retail portfolio.


"The successful delivery of Al Jimi Mall’s extension further demonstrates Aldar’s commitment to deliver desirable destinations."
