A new BACnet/IP automation station from Sauter interfaces with common field bus protocols, the IoT and Cloud storage solutions to facilitate the control of critical building systems.
With life cycles of several decades, even the most up-to-date technology in buildings can become dated - a problem modulo 6 addresses by providing compatibility with the Modbus, M-Bus, KNX, BACnet and MS/TP protocols for HVAC, lighting and energy systems.
The traditional separation of systems is being replaced by the IoT and Cloud-based solutions, and modulo 6 allows data to be stored or integrated into local cloud systems via MOTT.
Sauter identifies predictive maintenance as a key application for its new solution which collects data from a range of devices, actuators and valves.
The manufacturer also claims backwards compatibility for its solution with its predecessor modulo 5 platform and third-party building automation applications.
