C-19 Business Pledge

Service Provider News, United Kingdom
UK integrate services provider Axis Group has signed up to the C-19 Business Pledge to support closer collaboration between businesses and universities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The brainchild of former UK Cabinet Minister, Justine Greening, and UK entrepreneur David Harris, the pledge commits its signatory organisations to helping overcome immediate challenges faced by employees, customers and the community as a result of Covid-19; and to supporting longer term rebuilding.

Throughout the Covid-19 crisis, Axis Group has adapted its service delivery and the management and support of its employees in line with government guidelines. Axis Security has introduced a range of adapted patrol and response services to support the traditional manned guarding offering, and embraced technology to provide thermal imaging solutions deployed to entry points of buildings, as well as continuing to review site protocols in line with social distancing requirements.

The group's cleaning division is providing specialist deep cleaning across the UK using state of the art electrostatic sanitising equipment, ensuring peace of mind for people and organisations planning for their return to work.

Axis Group’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees, across its security, cleaning and front-of-house businesses, has always been the cornerstone of the company’s ethos. Through its People Strategy, the company is already committed to being ‘The Employer of Choice’ by providing a positive working environment, which is both supportive and challenging.

Gary Stanton, Group Commercial Director, says: "We’re using new courses including Legionella Awareness, Principles of Manual Handling and Fire Marshal to equip employees with new skills while on the front line or furloughed and awaiting return. Our employee benefits offering continues to support our people’s mental and financial wellbeing with virtual offerings covering a range of supportive areas."

Jonathan Levine, Axis Group CEO, adds: "We have been blown away by the positivity and enthusiasm of our security officers and cleaning employees in their commitment to continuing their roles safely in support of our customers’ businesses. The health and safety of our customers and employees has always been at the core of our values, and we are incredibly grateful to all our employees for supporting this ethos.

"By signing the C-19 business pledge we want to join the efforts of many other organisations to fight Covid-19 and protect those around us."
