Remembering Patrick Jongbloet
The British Cleaning Council (BCC) has paid tribute to popular colleague and former member of its Secretariat, Patrick Jongbloet, who recently lost his gallant battle with cancer.
During a thirty-year career in three different industries, Patrick held various roles connected with facilities management, and will especially be remembered for his times at Eurotunnel in the 1990s, consultancy FM Guru, and the five years he spent with Emprise Services.
He joined the Secretariat at the British Cleaning Council (BCC) in December 2017, serving there part time until last year, and continued to participate in the Council's activities until earlier this year.
Patrick was also the founder of eager-4-excellence Ltd, a Health, Safety, Quality, Training and Development provider that launched in August 2002.
Paying tribute, BCC Chairman, Paul Thrupp, said: "The news of Patrick’s passing is extremely sad. He had been bravely fighting health issues since 2016 but ultimately lost the battle.
"Patrick was a splendid chap. He was great fun to be around and great company. He was well-known in the industry and very well-liked. He will be missed.
"Our thoughts go out to Patrick’s family."
The BCC invites readers to join it in making donations in Patrick’s memory at https://patrickjongbloet.muchloved.com/ which is fundraising for Cancer Research UK.
