Contractor Safety Scheme Announces Senior Appointment
Appointments, Supply Chain Management, Construction, United Kingdom
UK Safety Scheme In Procurement (SSIP) CHAS has appointed Saba Khan as Head of Risk.
Khan, who was previously appointed as Head of Operations and Quality, joined CHAS in March 2020 when she assumed responsibility for all operations, including customer services, assessment verification, standards and quality. Over a nine-month period, she developed and deployed verification and assessment processes in line with PAS 91 (publicly available specification) and the Common Assessment Standard.
She previously held leadership roles in third party accreditation businesses where she gained in-depth knowledge of the pre-qualification, compliance and scalable procurement sectors - including Avetta where, as Launch Manager, Khan was instrumental in building local teams and leading them in content management activities for the EMEA region to enable expansion of the organisation into new market areas.
In a previous role at Exor Management Services, Khan developed a comprehensive and detailed risk management framework for the public sector enabling the procurement of goods and services from businesses while ensuring they were fully assessed for financial stability, health and safety and equal opportunities.
Announcing the appointment, Alex Minnett, CHAS' Head of Products and Markets, said: "Saba has a proven track record in delivering first class risk management solutions and leading strong, successful teams. She has been a huge asset to CHAS since she joined earlier this year and we’re delighted to welcome Saba to the Products and Development team."
Khan added: "I am delighted to move across to the Products and Development team as Head of Risk at such an important time and lead the development and evolution of CHAS’s risk management products."
