Better Life, Better Work

Company News, Events

The 40th edition of CIFF, the world’s largest furniture exhibition and official FM Industry/FM Magazine event partner, will be held in Shanghai (Hongqiao) from 11th to 14th September. The 2017 event will showcase leading home, office and outdoor furniture and textile brands; as well as machinery and materials for manufacturing furniture.

CIFF Shanghai will host 2,000 brands and 90,000 professional visitors on an exhibitor floor area of 400,000 square metres within the National Exhibition & Convention Center (Shanghai) in Hongqiao.

The venue has been refreshed and will feature the National Exhibition & Convention Center new (and much brighter!) “Four-leaf Clover” logo design prominently.

Better Life, Better Work

The theme for this year's event, "Better Life, Better Work", acknowledges the impact continuous improvements in furniture design and manufacturing is having on personal and employee wellbeing - as well as office productivity.

Exhibition Zones

This clustered layout will enable visitors to locate their target products quickly and will further enhance procurement efficiency and quality.

The Modern Home Furniture zone will occupy 7 Halls (Hall 1, Hall 2, North Hall, Hall 3, Hall 4.1, Hall 5.1 and Hall 6.1) located on the first floor to maximise visibility of the latest furniture trends.

  • The North Hall will host a Custom Furniture/Smart Home area
  • Hall 1 will showcase European and  American Lifestyle
  • The Design Exhibition will be located in Hall 2
  • Modern Furniture Brands will showcase their products in Halls 3 and 4.1; and
  • The Sofa Premium & Sleep Center will be located in Hall 4.1.

The International Hall

In 2017 the International Hall is moving to Hall 5.1.

Sofa Brands

The sofa brands showcase will be located in Hall 6.1.

Home décor & Hometextile and Outdoor & Leisure

Exhibitors from both sectors are being relocated to Halls 5.2 and 6.2 respectively as the sub-sectors are highly specialised and closely inter-linked.

Moreover, the artificial flowers and garden decoration display stands in the Home décor sector will complement garden furniture and courtyard tables and chairs.

Office Show

The Office Show will occupy Halls 7.2 and 8.2 and bring together the excellent businesses operating in the office and hotel furniture industry, making the layout of the specialized Zones simpler and more coherent.

In addition to its unique, U-shaped layout featuring three aisles throughout the venue and second half of the exhibition area, the 40th edition of CIFF-Shanghai will facilitate access to visitors by introducing innovative kinked aisles allowing clear views of booth facades and offering 360-degree views of the venue.

Furniture Machinery & Furniture Raw Materials

The Furniture Machinery & Furniture Raw Materials sector will use Halls 7.1 and 8.1 to display the most complete range of materials and accessories (Hall 7.1) and most sophisticated furniture machinery (Hall 8.1), alongside the furniture brands to strengthen the advantages of the entire industry chain.

Beyond 2017

From the 2018 edition of CIFF-Shanghai, China (Shanghai) International Furniture Machinery & Woodworking Machinery Fair will be jointly organised by China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corp. and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. - a new strategic co-operation designed to provide the industry with an international and resourceful exhibition where exhibitors and buyers can explore business opportunities in a dedicated global furniture platform.

As the biggest furniture industry exhibition in China and globally, CIFF is a firm favourite on the events calendar.

We look forward to welcoming you at NECC, Hongqiao, from September 11-14!
