    Lighting Efficiency is Key

    Peterborough-based Ability International has selected LEDVANCE Damp Proof LED luminaires to retrofit its entire warehouse, in a project to improve the working environment and reduce energy and maintenance costs. The UK company specialises in providing working-at-height solutions, custom-built to client’s specifications and requirements. With more than 23 years’ experience of manufacturing aluminium scaffold towers and access equipment, Ability International offer many of its solutions custom-built to client’s specifications and requirements.

    Veolia to Deliver First Carbon Energy Fund Ireland Contract

    Veolia, working through its specialist energy performance team, has been awarded the first Carbon Energy Fund Ireland, CEFI, contract for a hospital in Ireland. The 15 year Energy Infrastructure Project Agreement for Dublin’s Mater Misericordiae University Hospital will reduce the hospital’s carbon footprint by approximately 81,000 tonnes, cut imported electricity from the national grid by 77 per cent, and deliver €26 million in guaranteed energy and operational savings.

    RoSPA Order of Distinction

    Veolia Water Technologies (Veolia) has once again had its approach to health and safety recognised in an awards scheme run by the safety charity, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). Veolia has achieved an Order of Distinction (15 consecutive Golds) in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. They will be presented with the award during a ceremony at Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

    Purchasing Power

    AkzoNobel, DSM, Google and Philips have begun receiving power from the Bouwdokken wind farm in the Netherlands – a milestone achievement resulting from a unique green energy purchasing consortium they jointly established.
