Goods to Man

Weland Solutions has announced a new vertical lifting solution designed to integrate with automated manufacturing and warehousing workflows.

“The market is moving towards standardised, fully automated production solutions which makes the integration of our vertical storage lifts a natural next step for us”, says Weland Solution’s Björn Karlsson in reference to his company’s recently announced Compact Dynamic solution.

Designed to integrating seamlessly with the production lines of major manufacturers (Weland clients include Siemens, Atlas Copco, Rolls Royce and Jaguar Land Rover), Compact Dynamic draws on a year of intensive development and the latest advances in robotic technology to provide one of the first fully automated “goods to man” industrial lifting solution for manufacturers and warehouse operators.

In the instant world of e-tailing, logistics and warehousing bottlenecks can create delivery bottlenecks.

But Karlsson believes the Weland solution which will launch over the summer promises much more than efficiency gains.

Installing vertical lifts usually involves adaptations to facilities and manufacturer workflows to accommodate often bulky lifting gear. By contrast, Compact Dynamic has been designed with height, width and depth adjustable in mind for easier installation.

News that global construction and manufacturing safety component supplier Axalent has pre-ordered Compact Dynamic for its Hillerstorp plant in Sweden, suggests the company’s clients agree.
