Vinci Proposes Notre Dame Skills Sponsorship

VINCI has proposed leading construction firms sponsor a collective of artisans to work on the restoration of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris which suffered extensive fire damage on Monday.

The proposed scheme which would be overseen by Fondation du Patrimoine (the French Heritage Foundation) would involve many of France’s best-known construction firms.

French President, Emmanuel Macron, has unveiled an ambitious policy to restore the cathedral to its former condition within five years, as charitable donations to finance the project are reported to have exceeded the US $1 billion mark.

VINCI was involved in a similar sponsorship operation to restore the Hall of Mirrors at the Château de Versailles (the “House of Versailles”) 15 years ago.
