Voice Sounders with Visual Emergency Indicators

Kentec Electronics has launched the Fire-Cryer Plus visual sounder as an enhancement to its extinguishing control panels.

Fire-Cryer Plus provides four specific voice messages identifying 1st stage (evacuation) alarms, 2nd stage (Extinguishant release imminent) alarms, confirmation of extinguishant release, and hold button activation.

Approved to the EN 54-3 (Fire detection and fire alarm systems) standard, the product incorporates Rocking armature technology for highly intelligible output of dedicated voice notification and instructions in all areas where extinguishing systems are installed.

Despite its exceptionally low electrical current averaging 20mA, Fire-Cryer Plus outputs sound at 100dB(A).

Kentec managing director, Kevin Swann, believes the technology will be of particular interest to operators of data centres and mission-critical communication environments that adopt enhanced fire safety procedures.
