Supporting Scotty’s Little Soldiers
Incentive FM Group’s inaugural Charity Motorcycle Run has raised over £5,000 for Scotty’s Little Soldiers which supports children who have lost a parent serving in the British Armed Forces.
Motorcycle enthusiasts who included staff and guests took part in the run which started at the Rycas café in Box Hill, Dorking, Surrey and saw riders set off for a two hour ride to Meon in Hampshire along a beautifully scenic ride through Horsham, Petworth and Midhurst, before enjoying a hearty lunch at Loomies café.
A more direct 110 mile journey north which was led by John Mansfield, Incentive Lynx Security Control Room Manager, took in the delights of Guildford and was completed by mid-afternoon.
Motorcycle exotica on display included a vintage Harley Davidson, Classic Italian Laverda Jota, an original six cylinder CBX 1000 Honda from the 80’s, two BMW’s, and a variety of gleaming modern machinery.
Liz Mc Laughlin and Chris Windass who rode their bikes from Nottingham in the morning and returning the same day, were selected for a Long Distance award.
Jeremy Waud, Incentive FM Group Chairman, says:
“This event provided the perfect opportunity to mix a variety of staff, suppliers and friends on the open road, whilst making a significant sum of money for a fantastic charity. We all had a great time, and encourage others to join in the fun next year when the event will take place on Friday 29th May, 2020.”
