Philips Launches “Futureproofed” Pro TVs

Philips Professional Display Solutions (Philips PDS) has launch a new range of Google-certified Android MediaSuite Pro TVs in the EMEA region.

Unveiled at ISE 2019 in Amsterdam following a soft launch earlier this year, the MediaSuite range consists of seven variants in two series and is being targeted at multiple verticals, including hospitality, education, corporate, retail, food and beverages, and healthcare.

The HFL6014U UHD series is available in 43in 50in, 55in and 65in models with slimline, silver bezels and swivel stands, with the HFL5014 FHD series available in black in 32in, 43in and 50in models.

Both series feature direct LED back lights and high-quality panels to offer superior contrast, black level, brightness and colour saturation to ensure an outstanding picture performance.

Delivering a World First

Both new series are the first from any professional TV manufacturer to incorporate Google’s Chromecast digital video content streaming devices as standard. Requiring no login, the devices allow users to cast their own photographic, movie, music and presentational content at speeds of up to 4K from compatible laptop or mobile (IOS, Android or Windows) devices.

Access to thousands of apps is additionally available through the Google Play Store, including to major services such as YouTube, Deezer and Spotify, local news and weather or traffic information.

Speaking at the launch, Anthony Tizzard, Sony’s Pro TV Business Manager, EMEA, said:

“The way we all consume content at home and at work has changed significantly in recent years, and it’s important for that experience to remain consistent.

“Whether in a hotel room, in hospital, or whilst presenting during an important meeting, you want to have control, and technology is only a success if it is accessible and surpasses expectations.

“With MediaSuite, we’re bringing a seamless experience to our customers and removing the pains and restrictions they’ve previously encountered.”

Better with age

All MediaSuite Pro TVs are being offered with Philips PDS’ Extended Lifetime Promise which “futureproofs” models by adding features and functionality through regular software updates which also extend the lifetime and performance of displays.

Remote management allows TVs to be customised with corporate branding and personalised messages.

Philips PDS has also provided for customer interaction by including an on-screen survey capability that will allow customers to provide instant feedback to operators of hotels public sector facilities – and including reporting capabilities to allow building operators to monitor the popularity of particular Apps and services.
