Atalian Servest to Support Leading Charities

Employees of Atalian Servest have voted to support Mind, Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland until December 2020 under a fundraising initiative that will be overseen by a dedicated charity committee.

To kickstart fundraising, Atalian Servest’s CEO for the UK and Ireland, Daniel Dickson, will join other senior management team members including HR Director, Kelly Howell, Managing Director of Security, Steve Moore, and Sector Managing Director, Jen Bates by participating in The Great East Run on 22nd September.

Commenting on the news, Kathleen Miles, Director of Fundraising at Mind which provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding, said:

“We are hugely grateful to Atalian Servest for choosing Mind as one of its charities of the year and wish their senior management team members all the best for the Great East Run. The money they raise will help us continue to ensure that the one in four of us who experience a mental health problem every year gets support and respect.”

Nicola Gardner, Community Fundraiser for Norfolk and Suffolk at the Alzheimer’s Society which is the leading charity for dementia support and research in the United Kingdom, said:

“Alzheimer’s Society relies on voluntary donations to continue our vital work, which is why we are grateful to Atalian Servest for choosing us as one of their charities of the year.

“Too many people are facing dementia alone without adequate support. We urgently need to find a cure, improve care and offer help and understanding for people affected. This partnership will help towards that.”

Claire Du Preez, Corporate Partnerships Manager with Alzheimer Scotland, said:

“At Alzheimer Scotland, we depend on fundraised income to maintain and develop our vital work and services, which aim to improve quality of life for 90,000 people in Scotland living with dementia. On behalf of everyone at Alzheimer Scotland, I would like to thank Atalian Servest for choosing to support us as one their charities of the year. Working together we can make a big difference, helping to make sure that no one faces dementia alone.”

Daniel Dickson, added:

“It is so rewarding to be raising money for such worthy causes. Each charity is fundamental in dealing with some of the UK’s largest health issues which is why the team at Atalian Servest voted for these with such passion and commitment.

“Allowing colleagues to make their own selection for which charities we should support is great for employee engagement and no doubt we will see some fantastic fundraising as a result.

“I am pleased to be taking part in the Great East Run to support fundraising for Mind, the Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland”.
