Colour Alerts for Video Walls

A unique alarm system developed for traders at a major financial institution in New York is being used in other applications that benefit from communicating status changes visually in on-screen colour changes.

The system which operates with the Lucidity brand of video wall controller and control software supplied by Ultimate Visual Solutions (UVS) has been adapted for use in control rooms where on-screen colour changes represent major fluctuations, including power stations and traffic monitoring centres.

Staff can pre-set alarm points on video wall screens so that they receive visual, as well as audio, alerts in the event of any significant changes.

UVS managing director, Steve Murphy, says:

“The system can also be used in a process control application or in any control room where display colour changes are significant.

“We are now adding this feature as an option to the standard Lucidity control software or as a standard feature within our specially priced Pro version.”

UVS launched its Lucidity brand of video wall controllers and control software last year to fill a gap in the market for projects that do not require the full functionality of high-end solutions.
