New CEO to Lead CIEHF
The Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (CIEHF) has appointed Dr Noorzaman Rashid as its new CEO with a remit to lead the professional member organisation for ergonomists and human factors specialists towards world-class membership body status.
“Our profession is central to integrated design to improve life, wellbeing and performance”, says Dr Noorzaman Rashid, the new CEO of The Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (CIEHF). “The science and discipline involved in ergonomics and human factors is evolving rapidly with technological developments, and my ambition is to help promote our brand and reputation as the voice and home for people who work in ergonomics and human factors in the UK, and internationally.”
Noorzaman has a successful track record of leading professional services firms, public sector agencies and working with membership bodies at board level. He has adapted his consultancy and organisation development expertise to grow significant commercial entities and generate income to help organisations to flourish.
Praising esteemed professional bodies in complementary disciplines, such as facilities management, architecture, design and the built environment, he adds: “I’d like to see more collaboration with similar bodies to improve our reach, and most of all I’d like to build a vibrant and engaged membership.”
Commenting on the appointment, Bob Bridger, CIEHF President, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Noorzaman to the CIEHF. With his drive, ambition, passion and leadership, the next chapter of the CIEHF’s journey is an exciting one as we work closely with our membership to embed human factors and ergonomics in every facet of life, work and society.”
