UK Platform Lift Installer Partners with KONE

The Platform Lift Company has entered into a distribution and service partnership with Swedish KONE Group subsidiary, Motala Hissar AB.

Under the terms of the agreement, the company will serve as a key UK distributor of Motala Hissar’s range of platform lift products to other trade lift companies, commercial clients and end users. The Platform Lift Company will also be responsible for providing parts, servicing, maintenance and repair for the Motala platform lift product range within the UK.

Potential purchasers of the Motala 2000, Motala 2000 Home and the Motala 6000 LS can enjoy a complete turnkey service from The Platform Lift Company whose head office in Andover, Hampshire, is supported by satellite offices in London, Manchester and Glasgow.

Services offered by the company include design, build and installation by fully qualified and experienced engineers.

Discussing the new partnership, Sean O’Sullivan, Platform Lift Company managing director, said:

“Motala Hissar AB has been long recognised within our industry for their manufacturing excellence and premier platform lift solutions. This partnership agreement will help transition our family-run business into its next stage of growth.

“Motala’s platform lifts offer top quality performance, are competitively priced and can be made to specification using in-house design services. This superior product range boasts an advanced safety control system, safety features and design flexibility including glass on all four sides.”

Stefan Westin, Motala Hissar managing director, added:

“When a door closes, a window opens and sometimes it is panoramic. It is a great feeling in business when you find a new partner that impacts the market through a direct and progressive personal service, meeting all the requirements of the end customer and is as committed to excellence as The Platform Lift Company is.

“With the solid foundation that we are already establishing, based on constant and constructive dialogue, we hope to maintain this commercial relationship for many years in a satisfactory way for both parties.”
