ABM Announces Senior HR Appointment

ABM has announced the appointment of Chris Townsend as senior director of HR for the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

In his new role, Townsend – who has spent the last ten months in a contractor role supporting ABM UK’s HR team, will refine the company’s talent management strategy for business units in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Initial priorities will include driving greater alignment in the UK with a new HR operating model in areas such as talent, rewards and HR shared services, while leading the company’s HR business partners.  

He brings a wealth of talent to ABM as a proven, performance-driven and business-minded HR leader with comprehensive experience across a wide range of sectors including media technology, manufacturing, outsourced services, and facilities management.  

Prior to joining ABM, Townsend served as HR Director at Renaissance Services SAOG, an international facilities management and service solutions company, he supported the transformation of the business in Oman, Dubai and Abu Dhabi by designing a best-in-class HR function. Prior to this, Townsend spent 22 years as HR Director of Mitie’s FM division.
