Oteac Distributes FirePro Fire Suppression Systems

International fire and security services company Oteac has been approved as an official distributor, designer and installer of Fire Pro UK condensed aerosol systems for industrial and marine applications.

The Aberdeen-based subsidiary of the Nucore Group offers engineered solutions and workplace training to help organisations manage their fire and gas risks.

Fire Pro condensed aerosol fire suppression technology came into prominence following the introduction of the Montreal Protocol in 1994, an international treaty banning use of ozone-depleting substances including Halon and other halocarbon and chlorofluorocarbon based substances.  Fire Pro is suitable for use in industrial and marine applications and has received approvals from UL, MED, LPCB and ABS.

Explaining the distribution partnership, Oteac Services director, Mark Cowieson, said:

“This new agreement with FirePro gives our customers another choice when it comes to fire suppression systems.  The safety, environmental, space-saving, reduced maintenance and cost reduction benefits, aligned with our experienced design and installation team, make the FirePro range very appealing to customers wishing to upgrade or install new fire suppression systems.”

Tony Hanley, managing director of FirePro UK, added:

“We approached OTEAC, as a result of a strong recommendation from a global diesel generator end user that has used the FirePro product overseas.

“It’s always good to know that we are supporting experienced fire trade professionals that have customers who are openly willing to recommend them, hence we’re looking forward to supporting the OTEAC team with the FirePro fire suppression product moving forward.”
