A More Sustainable and Smarter Workplace

Global leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation Capgemini is using Sony TEOS and BRAVIA Professional Displays to drive energy efficiency and boost collaboration at its new eight-story eco office in Paris.

In July 2019, Capgemini opened a groundbreaking new office for its Ile-de-France employees in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Paris. Spanning 33,250m² over eight floors, it is home to 3,500 staff and boasts 57 meeting rooms, 5 “zen rooms”, a gaming area and a gym. Designed to foster well-being, collaboration and creativity, the new workplace has sustainability at its core with a Triple HQE certification and pioneering use of geothermal energy. 

In keeping with this ethos of sustainability and creativity, Capgemini needed a workspace management and digital signage solution for the new office that would maximise energy efficiency and time management, while creating new collaboration opportunities for staff.

  

Building on a foundation of successful partnership

Capgemini had previously enlisted Sony to streamline room management and signage in offices in Milan, Nantes and Lille as well as, in 2016, its campus in Chantilly. The unique campus has 60 meeting rooms, a 450-seat auditorium and 300 rooms nestled within 52-acres of parkland outside of Paris.

Sony supplied a total management solution powered by its TEOS suite of tools with the clear goal to make room usage seamless while providing a straightforward dashboard interface to manage the numerous digital signage. The solution reduced time spent for Capgemini’s AV management teams and the sleek, professional design of the installed hardware impressed visitors. 

Following the success of the campus installation, Capgemini were happy to return to Sony for its new office.

A sustainable yet powerful technology solution

With installer Alliance Project, Sony put in place its TEOS suite of workplace management tools. In conjunction with more than 300 BRAVIA 4K Professional Displays, Sony provided a complete solution that offers powerful collaboration features and puts technology at the core of the workplace.

To meet Capgemini’s exacting needs on sustainability and to maintain the green-credentials expected of its new workplace, an essential requirement of the installation was the ability to tightly control screen energy usage and reduce the overall use of paper. The Sony BRAVIA Professional Displays, as such, were chosen for their bright, engaging displays with seamless connectivity options, alongside their best in class energy consumption.

TEOS Manage’s advanced analytics and dashboard-style interface provide Capgemini’s AV and IT managers with detailed insights on device usage, allowing them to identify and drive greater energy efficiencies. The TEOS digital signage tools meanwhile mean rich, engaging content can be easily customised and disseminated across the office space remotely.

Within the meeting rooms, TEOS Connect enables employees or guests to wirelessly present from laptops to the BRAVIA displays, making meetings more efficient and less stressful. With no messy wires to worry about, no extra hardware required and the ability to connect up to four users simultaneously, teams can come together and collaborate quickly, without losing time trying to set up a screen. Additionally, as a straightforward and reliable digital solution enabling seamless collaboration, TEOS Connect has significantly reduced the need for back-up paper handouts in meetings.

A long-term relationship 

Since its opening, the response to the Sony solutions has been positive.
