Successful PPC Live 2020
The British Pest Control Association’s (BPCA) Professional Pest Controller Live event in Harrogate last week showcased new product launches from many of the world’s leading manufacturers and distributors.
Â
Fifty exhibitors received 516 visitors, with a brand-new indoor demonstration area which hosted sessions on proofing, face fit testing, catch tray analysis and smart pest control proving to be especially popular.Â
Several visitors to Clive Boase’s drop-in insect identification surgery were treated to a crash-course in basic insect identification, with others bringing samples for analysis.
During the day the winner of the Best Pest Pic 2020 competition was announced, with Mark Horrocks taking the £500 prize for his photo of a wasp sipping honey from a clothes peg.Â
Â
And the BPCA stand stayed busy throughout the day, with visitors asking about training, BPCA Registered and membership, and kindly donating to the Association’s charity of the year: Prostate Cancer UK.Â
Â
Lauren Day, BPCA Events Manager, comments:
“It’s been such a positive event; we couldn’t have asked for it to go more smoothly and the feedback has been brilliant. This industry is packed with hardworking people who are passionate about pest management and want to stay in the loop with the sector.Â
Â
“It’s always wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to meet all those who are new to pest management.Â
Â
“Thank you to all the amazing exhibitors that made the day possible.”
