Supporting Staff with an EAP

Facility services provider to the UK’s corporate sector Anabas has launched am employee assistance programme (EAP) to provide additional support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company has been working on the EAP for several months and made the decision to accelerate its launch to provide extended support to its team during such unprecedented times. The programme, provided through Health Assured, was designed with the entire workforce in mind and staff actively contributed to help shape the package to ensure that positive wellbeing is a part of culture both at HQ and on the frontline. The new EAP is also available to families of employees.

Launched via a webinar, the EAP offers a a round-the-clock helpline which provides support on legal, financial, medical and personal issues callers may be struggling with. Anabas staff and their families can have individual counselling sessions, either face-to-face or by telephone, and there is unlimited access to online information including podcasts and downloads covering a wide variety of health-related topics.

The boutique FM provider has also launched a range of e-learning programmes about cleaning and hygiene to support staff in staying safe and healthy during the current pandemic.

Anabas managing director, Alistair Craig, says:

“Our staff are our biggest asset and their safety and wellbeing is absolutely paramount. One of Anabas’ main focuses for 2020 is employee physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and we have been working on developing a new employee welfare package for some time. It was critical that we accelerated the go-live to support our staff when they need it most.

“My sincerest thanks go to all our staff who have worked tirelessly to help us and our clients to remain safe and healthy during this time. The support they have all shown in these last couple of weeks is fantastic and I couldn’t be more proud of the entire Anabas Family. We really have lived up to our value of being there for each other”.
