Evolution in Fireco Distribution Agreement
Lifesystems and safety business Evolution has become appointed as an official distributor and installer of Fireco’s Pro range of wireless fire retainers and associated products.
The agreement covers several products in Fireco’s range.
Fireco is the manufacturer of the Freedor Pro free swing door closer which is facilitates the opening of heavy fire doors by people who would normally struggle. It is also the company behind Dorgard Pro which holds fire doors open safely and legally to allow free movement through a building.
The company’s Pro range also includes the Fireco transmitter which is connected to existing fire panels and communicates with up to 500 Pro range devices to close doors automatically when an alarm panel is activated.
Compliant with UK fire safety standards, Evolution describes the Pro range as quick and easy to install, and the “ideal” solution for new builds and retrofits within existing or listed buildings; as well as premises requiring critical (“Category A”) actuation in the UK.
Nigel Hyson, Evolution’s fire sales manager, says: “Being wireless means not having to run any cables, making it ideal for more complex or challenging sites or where aesthetics is an issue. The reliability of the product is also key to protecting people, property and assets, but also to support an organisation with its compliance regime.”
