Deep Cleaning Service Launches in UK

Polyteck Group has established a deep cleaning and sanitation division to meet demand from the UK’s social housing and commercial sectors for hygiene services during the COVID-19 crisis.

The bespoke service will be delivered using specialist cleaning equipment, to ensure the safety and cleanliness of buildings and circulation spaces for occupants and visitors – with the company additionally offering COVID-19 sampling to clients and customers.

Polyteck has also announced its intention to deploy its existing team of qualified cleaners and technical staff alongside new recruits it is bringing on board to deliver the new bespoke service.

The facility services provider’s sanitisation process will include full V1 Viricidal sanitising for all surfaces. These focus on touch points such as equipment, furniture, doors, handles, switches, buttons, floors, kitchens and toilets. The sanitisation process includes a full fogging process, using powerful germicides and sanitisers to keep a room sterilised for up to seven days. The sprayed product produces a mist to ensure appropriate dwell time and, as it is fogged, it fills the air, envelopes furnishings and clings to surfaces resulting in a thorough application which does not need to be wiped off or hand cleaned. The sampling service will enable businesses to take swabs from surfaces directly to identify contamination. These swabs will be sent to specialist laboratories and assessed.

Guy Goodall, Polyteck director, says: “The Covid-19 pandemic continues to unfold around us, and we are learning something new every day. While the science regarding how the virus impacts the body changes daily, we do know that regularly cleaning and disinfecting high touch surfaces has been considered an important precaution to lower the risk of infection from the beginning.

“Our new dedicated cleaning division offers our clients the reassurance that this vital function is carried out well and often.”
