SGG Transfers Uniform Distribution to Arkansas

Branded workwear manufacturer, the Superior Group of Companies (SGC), is transferring distribution of its HPI uniform label from facilities in Alpharetta, Georgia and Gainesville, Georgia to a semi-robotic global warehousing hub in Eudora, Arkansas.
The decision follows an audit of the manufacturer’s facilities in Georgia which established that it would be unviable to upgrading the company’s facilities in Georgia.
The transfer of functions to SGG’s Alpharetta distribution center is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2020, with severance packages being offered to qualifying employees.
HPI’s offices in the city will remain open until suitable office space has been secured in the Atlanta area.
Charles Sheppard, senior vice-president of Global Sourcing and Distribution, comments: “The transition to our Eudora Distribution Center will bring best in class technology and operational capabilities to our HPI customers.
“We thank our long term DC employees in Alpharetta and Gainesville for their significant contributions to the success of HPI over the years.”
