SANHA Introduces 2 5/8″ High-Pressure Fitting for HVACR Applications

SANHA GmbH has become one of the first piping system manufacturers to offer a high-pressure 2 5/8″ fitting for commercial and industrial HVAC-R applications.

The addition to the SANHA RefHP (Series 29000) range complements multiple high-pressure solder fittings for copper-iron (CuFe2P, CW107C) alloy pipework used in cooling systems.

SANHA has been actively offering this series for several years to support high-pressure systems operating with CO2 as a cooling medium, as specifying it typically extends maximum operating pressure tolerances to 130 bars for systems operating within a temperature range of 196 to 150 degrees Celsius.

Manufacturers of commercial and industrial HVAC-R systems are required, increasingly, to focus on achieving better efficiency and to use more sustainable refrigerants including  CO2 (R744), primarily, in the transcritical range.

2 1/8” piping is used in industrial plant and for large refrigeration piping, with solder fittings providing a number of benefits over classic, welded stainless steel or brass connections – including faster brazing when compared to joining with a TIG welding.
