A Game-changing Fundraiser
A fundraising initiative involving Delaware North’s gaming division recently raised US $47,604 for the Families in Transition (FIT) charity in West Memphis, Arkansas, which provides shelter, safety and related services to victims of domestic violence, human trafficking and other forms of abuse.
Guests of Southland Casino Racing participated in the fundraiser by dropping off and gifting change left on slot vouchers or racing tickets at wishing wells located on the casino floor in support of a “Game Changer” campaign that is being run by Delaware North’s gaming division.
Launched across the United States in 2020, the initiative aims to create positive change in local communities, with all proceeds going to organizations focused on creating positive community impact within each participating location.
Southland has also launched its next fundraising effort which will support The Boys & Girls Clubs of Crittenden County.
David Wolf, president and general manager of Southland Casino Racing, says: “We have a deep appreciation for the work that Families in Transition does to help our community.
“And, to take it a step further, it’s wonderful to know that we and our patrons are a part of something even larger, as patrons of other gaming venues within our company’s U.S. portfolio are helping those in need within their respective communities.”
