Following Ethical Best Practices in Procurement

Atalian Servest has partnered with Alcumus, a provider of supply chain and EHSQ+ risk management solutions in the UK, to prequalify contractors.

Jack Holmes, Procurement Director UK & Ireland, Atalian Servest explains: “We are committed to ethical best practices and sustainable business growth.

“To provide the highest standard of pre-qualification across our supply chain, we have made the long-term decision to partner with Alcumus SafeContractor. Our partnership with SafeContractor enables us to gain full visibility of risks from our sub-contractors that are within our supply chain, including health & safety compliance, insurances and industry best practice including financials, data protection and modern slavery & right to work. We must ensure all sub-contractors within our supply chain comply with their legal, financial and moral obligations to working safely and ethically.”

Helen Jones, Chief Operating Officer, Enterprise at Alcumus, adds: “Risk has always been part of the supply chain and is a day-to-day reality for many businesses. More than ever, businesses are facing increasing challenges in how they manage risks and transparency in their supply chain and minimise the impact of vulnerabilities and disruptions.

“This includes increasing focus on eradicating modern slavery in supply chains, adhering to environmental obligations, meeting social value through local suppliers and ensuring your contractors and suppliers are financially secure.

“SafeContractor gives businesses the peace of mind that their supply chain is secure and resilient and allows contractors to demonstrate that they meet the necessary requirements around health and safety, environment, modern slavery, diversity, equality, workplace wellbeing and financial stability.

“We’re thrilled that Atalian Servest has joined our community and we wish them every success.”

Atalian Servest will not give instructions for work to sub-contractors who have not evidenced their business meets these compliance standards through achieving SafeContractor accreditation and SafePQQ verification.
