Leeds Relocation Contract

Commercial relocation specialist Business Moves Group (BMG) has been selected to deliver a relocation contract by Leeds Building Society, the UK’s fifth largest building society which dates from 1875.

BMG will support over 900 staff as they move to new head office premises on Sovereign Street in Leeds, and consolidate activities which are currently undertaken at three separate locations.

In addition to moves’ planning, BMG will assume responsible for furniture inventory (including the recording and disposal of redundant furniture to charitable organisations or for recycling), occupancy management, the relocation of IT equipment, and for providing post-move assistance.

Andy Gerrard, project manager, says: “Office relocations represent a perfect time to integrate change management initiatives. The need for workplace change brought about by the pandemic makes this move extremely timely. We’re delighted to have been trusted with the task by Leeds Building Society and look forward to a successful move.”

Mike Briffett, project director with Leeds Building Society, adds: “This office move represents an exciting new chapter in our long history and it’s essential that we have an expert partner to help everything go smoothly. We were thoroughly impressed by the experience, knowledge and professionalism of the BMG team and can’t wait to move into our new home.”
