England’s largest independent provider of NHS services, Practice Plus Group, has awarded Emcor UK a multi-million-pound facilities management contract for its entire estate.

The contract, which starts in May 2021, will see EMCOR UK deliver a range of facilities management services at 20 sites across the UK including at nine surgical units and four call centres which deal with out of hours and NHS 111 calls.  EMCOR UK will manage the planned and reactive maintenance of the engineering services, building fabric and specialist medical plant.

Jeremy Campbell, Executive Director, Marketing and Business Development of EMCOR UK, says: “We are excited about this new partnership with Practice Plus Group. We share the same passion to deliver exceptional services through colleagues with specialist expertise working together as a team.  Our services are designed to help Practice Plus Group concentrate on its core healthcare business whilst we focus on creating an excellent patient experience and workplace environment for its employees.”

James Monteith, Head of Facilities for Practice Plus, adds: “We look forward to working with EMCOR UK and were impressed by their collaborative approach, ability to self-deliver the majority of our requirements and commitment to a smooth transition and operational mobilisation, all of which is essential for us to deliver the highest standards of healthcare to all our patients.”

The three year contract includes provision for an extension of up to two years.
