Exhibition Celebrates NHS Staff and Key Workers

Launching in Birmingham, Gratitude is a spectacular public art installation and tribute to the ongoing courage and dedication of NHS Staff and all key workers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Organised by global public art producer, Wild in Art, the event will be touring four locations.

Curator, Dame Zandra Rhodes, has selected 51 pieces by different sculptors and artists to capture the extraordinary experiences that have connected people during these most challenging of times.

Event sponsors

The initial location sponsors for the event are The Wesleyan Assurance Society (Birmingham) and online retailer Ocado (London).

Sculptural installations are being sponsored by Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics, Paradise Birmingham, Browne Jacobson LLP, Edding, 22 Bishopsgate, Bupa, Securitas, HSBC, Premier Inn, St. James’s Place Wealth Management, Barratt Developments, DWF LLP, Thortful, Poundfield, Southern, Ocean Outdoor, Accenture, Hiscox, KPMG, Selfridges, Greggs, Hermes, and The Royal Society of Chemistry.

Asked why a security company should be sponsoring a series of sculptural displays, Shaun Kennedy, UK Country President, Securitas, told FM Magazine: “Security professionals are the unsung heroes of the global pandemic. They were on the front line from day one, helping to keep people and property safe and secure. That’s why Gratitude is such an important event.

“It’s also a great way for us to help change people’s perceptions of the role of security officers and help the general public understand the huge, often unseen, contribution our people make to society.”

Book your tickets

The exhibition is free to visit and ticket reservations can be made online or by visiting Gratitude at Chamberlain Square, Paradise Birmingham (20-30 August 2021), before it moves on to Manchester (3-12 September), Edinburgh and London.

In autumn 2021, the sculptures will be auctioned with substantial proceeds donated to NHS Charities Together (Registered Charity Number 1186569).
