As it marks “Veganuary” 2022, Sodexo is reporting increasing sales of vegan and vegetarian menu options at corporate foodservice locations in the UK.
Food sales data from the global foodservice provider shows that, by the end of 2021, vegan and vegetarian meal options made up 13 per cent of all meal sales at offices and other corporate client sites where it provides catering – up 5 per cent from the start of the year.
In November 2021, the most recent month for which data is available, 41 per cent of all non-meat or non-fish meals sold by the company were vegan – the highest proportion of vegan meals selected since Sodexo began tracking vegan and vegetarian meal sales data in September 2020.
Vegan options currently offered by the company include: Jackfruit Jalfrezi, No Chicken Enchiladas, Falafel Burger, Kentucky Fried Jackfruit, Vegan Tacos, Vegetable Pad Thai, Ratatouille Pasta, Aubergine and Pepper Balti, Korean Stir Fried Tofu, Quorn Jambalaya and many more.
