Manchester Central Installs Innovative Hand Dryer Solution

As part of a £30 million renovation programme, the 9,500-seat capacity Manchester Central Convention Complex has installed internet-enabled video screen hand hygiene technology from Savortex across its estate.
Build-in video engages users of the adDryer hand dryer model with real-time messaging that can be used for hygiene awareness or to generate advertising revenue for re-investment into its circular economy business model.
According to Savortex, the dryer’s smart technology is achieving energy savings of 88 per cent compared to the venue’s previous solution.
Tom Forshaw, Director of Sales & Marketing for Manchester Central, says: “Our sustainability strategy, Our Central Future, aims to innovate and deliver initiatives that enhance the sustainability of the venue and the services we provide to all our stakeholders.”
Savortex CEO, Syed Ahmed, adds: “Savortex are delighted to be working with such an iconic brand as Manchester Central to help meet sustainability and net-zero targets with our unique and smart British solutions.”
