Focusing on Non-combustible Cavity Solutions

In a new video, building expert and Skill Builder YouTuber Roger Bisby demonstrates the Keyfix Non-Combustible Cavity Tray System which is described by its manufacturer as a ‘Fix & Forget’ self-supporting, single-piece tray which clips together for fast and easy installation without the use of tapes or mastic.

Increasing demand for non-combustible materials for buildings over 18 metres in the UK has led to the development of Keyfix’s unique range of external cavity wall solutions which hold an A1 fire rating and are fully compliant to Building Regulations Approved Document B (ADB).

In the video, Bibsy demonstrates how the innovative, non-combustible A1 fire rated Cavity Tray system is deemed to be self supporting and therefore requires no contact with the internal skin. This system does not rely on tapes, sealants and mastics, therefore elimating one of the main reasons for product failure.

BBA-accredited and listed on the NHBC ‘Accepts list’, the system is approved by both Premier Guarantee and LABC following their comprehensive review of innovative products and systems.
