Evolution Director Elevated to Fellowship of The Security Institute

Brendan McGarrity, Director of Evolution Risk & Design, has been elevated as a Fellow of The Security Institute (FSyl), the UK’s largest membership organisation for security professionals.

His appointment, confirmed by industry peers on the Security Institute Validation Board, reflects the importance that Evolution places on continuous professional development at all levels of its business, and the importance of delivering the highest levels of strategic, professional advice.

Richard Lambert, Managing Director of Evolution, says: “Brendan is to be congratulated on his achievement which is highly valued in our industry as the professional Gold Standard.

“Since joining Evolution almost five years ago he has continually demonstrated notably high levels of security knowledge, practical application, communication, leadership and personal commitment to our industry, our business, and our clients.”

Three other members of the Evolution team have also attained the next level of certification from the institute: Mark Hirst, Area Sales Manager, and Kevin Stephenson, Operational Risk Advisor, have both been awarded Member status. Gary Payne, Design Engineer, has become an Associate.

Different tiers of membership reflect an individual’s related qualifications and training, their experience, and their engagement with the wider security community.

Brendan McGarrity joined Evolution in 2018 and was appointed Director of its Risk & Design business in 2021. He started in the security industry in 2011 after enjoying a successful 25-year career in the Royal Air Force.
