SPIE UK has won a new contract to deliver mechanical and electrical works in a building on life science company Evotec’s Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin Campus in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
The 33-week project relates to second-floor laboratories at the campus following the completion of a laboratory construction project earlier this year.
Working in a now active building with research scientists conducting experiments in the Laboratories, the new project will require detailed planning of works to minimise disruption to services. This will involve integrating the existing services with the new infrastructure and carrying out the lifting operation to the roof of the new Air Source Heat Pump.
Dean Blackburn, Project Manager at SPIE UK, says: “We are incredibly pleased to be chosen by Evotec to deliver mechanical and electrical works to upgrade the laboratory. Following the strong results we saw from the construction phase, we’re excited to continue our coordinated approach to continue to deliver great value whilst ensuring a high-quality standard of work.”
