ABM Awarded Hard Services Contracts at Major UK Shopping Centres

ABM teams will deliver a range of maintenance and M&E services following contract awards at The Trafford Centre in Manchester and the Derbion in the East Midlands.

The Trafford Centre is the United Kingdom’s third-largest shopping destination, with the East Midland’s largest shopping centre, Derbion, ranking 15th nationally.

Under the three-year contracts, ABM is installing fulltime engineers on-site at both centres to deliver mechanical and electrical, HVAC maintenance, building fabric maintenance, and compliance services. The facility services provider employs more than 10,000 engineers in the UK and USA.

The contracts boost ABM’s retail shopping centre portfolio in the United Kingdom to 24, with other major retail destinations under its management including St James Quarter in Edinburgh and Telford Shopping Centre.

[W]e have embedded our teams to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities

Kim Harris, Operations Director for ABM UK, says: “Working collaboratively with the teams onsite, we have embedded our teams to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities.

Our mobilisation will ensure there is no disruption to customers and their shopping experience.”
