The 30th Public Catering Awards took place at the London Hilton Metropole, celebrating teams and individuals who have provided exceptional and outstanding work in catering.
The awards celebrate individuals and teams that work within the industry, crowned its winners last week. It was another successful night for Compass Group UK & Ireland – who scooped up 2 awards.
The winners for Compass Group were:
- Catering Manager of the Year Award – Rosa Losa, Medirest
- Team of the Year Award – ESS
This is Rosa Losa’s second recent award nomination. As Retail Catering Manager at the Royal Surrey Hospital, Rosa has been instrumental in Medirest and the Royal Surrey Hospital being the first hospital to be awarded the NHS double exemplar site status for catering and cleaning.
Following on from ESS’ three awards at the Contract Catering Awards, they have been awarded Team of the Year. This was in recognition of the support the company provided to its Defence and Government Services clients during the mourning period and state funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
ESS is a market leader in the Defence, Energy and Government Services sectors, supporting the wellbeing of thousands of customers who carry out strategically important work, often in challenging conditions.

At the end of the night, Nick Vadis, the Culinary Director of Compass Group UK & Ireland, paid tribute to the chefs who had skilfully crafted four exceptional courses for the nominees and their guests.
