ExxonMobil Awards Security Contract

Corps Security have been awarded a security contract at ExxonMobil’s refinery and chemical plant in Fawley, Hampshire.

The provider of manned guarding services participated in a competitive tender process that included a visit to the site which is designated as part of the UK’s critical infrastructure and supplies around 20 per cent of the country’s fuel requirements.

The 5-year contract will see 46 operatives transfer to the Corps Security team with immediate effect.

Andy Topp, Corps’ sales and marketing director, says: “ExxonMobil have a critical role to play in the national infrastructure of the country, so we are pleased that the customer noticed the efforts of our team to understand the needs of the site. We are delighted to be working with them and welcome our new colleagues to the team too.”

A spokesperson for ExxonMobil, adds: “Corps were the successful bidder out of the eight security companies that were invited to tender. We look forward to working with the Corps team, to ensure that our Site Security team remain motivated and have the best possible opportunities to progress in their careers.”
