Broxap has been named the winner in the ‘Environmental Practices’ category of the Scotland Excel Awards.
As an official supplier of litter and recycling bins to Scotland’s public sector, the company which manufactures street furniture; shelters, canopies and covered walkways, cycle parking infrastructure and outdoor gym and playground equipment, has invested heavily in introducing more sustainable working practices in addition to easy-to-use recycling solutions.
The award recognises its work to reduce waste, cut carbon emissions and lower energy consumption through a continuous investment programme in sustainable manufacturing systems. the company has also developed a system for keeping existing materials and resources in circulation for longer at its production facility and locations where it is implementing recycling-on-the-go infrastructure.

Broxap’s 125,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility in North Staffordshire has also been upgraded with an automated powder coating line that generates no wastewater, a fibre laser cutting machine which uses a third less energy than CO2 counterparts, and briquetting technology to convert shavings and sawdust into bales that are burned cleanly in heater units.
