Integrated Facilities Management Contract

Listen to this article

Insurance and pensions services provider Phoenix Group has awarded a new contract to Mitie to deliver integrated facilities management (IFM) services across its UK sites.

The five-year contract, worth £62m, will involve a range of specialist services, including Mitie’s ‘Connected Workspace’ and decarbonisation services. It marks the first time that all facilities management services for the Phoenix Group estate have been consolidated under one supplier.

The partnership covers six locations in five cities, including Edinburgh, London, Hitchin, Wythall and Telford. Under the agreement, Mitie will deliver planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, security, catering, waste management, landscaping, decarbonisation, and additional project work, providing a truly integrated approach to FM service delivery.

Mitie’s sustainability credentials will play a key role in supporting Phoenix Group’s commitment to decarbonisation, with a designated Plan Zero Energy Manager tasked with identifying energy-saving opportunities and reducing consumption.

The facility services provider will also enhance workplace connectivity and collaboration through its ‘Connected Workspace’ technologies, aligning with Phoenix Group’s vision for equality, diversity, and inclusion.
