Bidvest Noonan and Go-Ahead London, a leading provider of passenger transport services, have claimed a prestigious Green Apple award for developing a range of plant-based cleaning agents.

The Green Apple Awards are run by The Green Organisation, an international, independent, environment group with a 30-year history of promoting environmental best practice around the world.

Bidvest Noonan provides integrated security, cleaning, and support services to bus and rail operators. The company’s work impacts more than eleven million commuters and over 1.5 billion journeys every year.

To develop, their award-winning product, Bidvest Noonan and Go-Ahead London partnered with Chela, a UK manufacturer of innovative specialised chemicals and technical solutions. Their objective was to develop a 100% plant-based range of detergents for vehicle cleaning, depot cleaning and facility cleaning, including heavy duty degreasers.

Together, the partners developed the Pure Range which includes a vehicle cleaner for traffic film and tough grime, a versatile detergent for various surfaces, and essentials like hand soap, descaler, and washing up liquid.

Tony Philippou, Chela Sales & Marketing Director, adds: “We are absolutely delighted that Bidvest Noonan and Go-Ahead have been awarded a prestigious Green Apple Award. The Pure Range was developed to allow our clients to eradicate petroleum-based chemicals from their supply chains whilst ensuring that cleanliness standards are delivered at the highest possible levels.”
